WE PROVIDE A TEAM-BASED APPROACH TO OUR WORK

Unlike solo investigators, we provide an integrated team-based approach to all our work. We know that our approach allows integration of various levels of expert knowledge to ensure that you and your organization acquire the best results for your situation. We understand that bringing customized, skillful investigation procedures that incorporate key factors such as investigative strategy, labour law, mental health, and conflict resolution are critical to a successful investigation or consultation.

Complaints and investigations are surrounded by high emotions such as fear and anger, conflict, adversarial positions, and political positioning. As these procedures can have significant impact for the complainant, the respondent. and both their leader and team, it is very important to approach the work using procedural fairness, transparency, and confidentiality.

DR. BOB ACTON

CLINICAL AND CONSULTING PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Acton is a Clinical and Consulting Psychologist and Executive Coach. He has considerable experience with investigations working as an Ethics Investigator, Practice Review Adviser, Acting Complaints Director, and Chair of the Appeal Panel and Complaint Review Committee for the College of Alberta Psychologists over the last 20 years. He has a wealth of experience with both coaching leaders and consulting on behavioural problems surrounding mental health particularly within the workplace. He now integrates that knowledge and experience into investigations and human resource consultations. He is a Licensed Investigator W051664.

GLEN HANER

SENIOR INVESTIGATOR

Glen utilizes best-practice investigations gleaned from years of work as a senior Royal Canadian Mounted Police leader and Investigator with Public Interest Commissioner’s office in Alberta. He held a number of senior leadership roles with the RCMP and is also a valued instructor in areas of bullying and harassment, critical incident stress debriefing, and mental health first aid. Glen brings his wealth of experience to investigating workplace allegations with precision. He is Licensed Investigator W050113.

KAREN ANTHONY

MEDIATOR, COACH AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION SPECIALIST

Karen’s a Professional Certified Coach and a Professional Mediator and has a passion for resolving conflict and she specializes in resolving workplace conflict. She has several clients who she helps move forward in their careers, their leadership, and their personal life. Her goal is always to bring out the best in people. She mentors and teaches new mediators and conflict resolution specialists. Karen takes here deep knowledge of conflict and mediation to both provide in-depth investigations and strategies to recover from workplace conflict.

PATRICIA TRICK

HUMAN RESOURCES AND LABOUR RELATIONS EXPERT

Patricia is a senior human resources expert with extensive experience in a variety of industries in all three western provinces. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from UNBC and has worked in important areas within human resources such as leadership development, organizational development, performance management, and labour relations. She brings this expertise to our team to help guide us on delivering services that best meet the needs of the organization, the individuals involved and the unions or associations representing the staff. Patricia has extensive, senior experience in education, health, and government services.
